Free Gift

We’ve mentioned the Gospel. Another Christian word that simply describes the free gift of Salvation that HE offers us. In simple vernacular it’s our ticket to Heaven without which, according to God's Word the Bible, we have no attractive future after our short

life except an eternity in a literal place called, as we’ve all heard, hell. Heaven or hell? The age old question, if you believe in such things, it’s not something that anyone in their right mind would want to leave to chance. So our gracious Lord made it very simple. Accept HIS gift of salvation per the message of the Gospel and receive the assurance of a very real Heaven… or… reject it and lock in your future in the certainty of hell.

Dear reader, PLEASE don’t miss this! It is most certainly
LIFE or DEATH.

My Dad used to say when talking to people who didn’t know Jesus as their Savior that if they were right and that there is no God then there’s nothing to lose by not believing… but… if he was right and they were wrong and GOD really IS.. then that unsaved person has everything to lose and how very sad to reject something so free and wonderful and gracious as an eternity in Heaven!

It is a free gift…after reading the Bible references mentioned on this website you’ll see that there is nothing that we can do to earn the gift. It’s only offered because of our Savior, Jesus who took the punishment for my (our) sin by dying in my place on the cross that we all know and see as the symbol of what He did for us. It’s so simple…

.

  1. Realize I am a sinner & that I need saved from the punishment that sin demands (Death & eternal punishment in Hell)

  2. Sincerely believe what He did for us, for me, for you! He died a horrible death that I/you deserve. Then HE rose from the dead! just like we’ll raise from death after this short life!! Now that’s a gift that no one else can offer!!

  3. Ask for the gift… receive it... Romans 10:9,10,13 says to use our mouth and to "call upon the name of the Lord". Simply put, sincerely ask for this free gift that He paid for!

If a person just believes but is not willing to actually use their mouth and ask for (call, confess, accept, receive) this life changing gift then maybe they're not really serious about it. It's sometimes a point of contention of exactly when a person becomes a Christian (gets saved). The term "easy believism" is used to describe a mindset where a person may believe the Bible is true and that GOD is real but not be willing to follow the instruction of confessing their sin and calling on Jesus to save them. Of all the decisions that a person will make in life, this is by far the most important. This is the only decision that has eternal life or death consequences. Why would a person not want to be SURE that this issue is fully resolved and KNOW that they are going to heaven after this short life?

----- HOW TO KNOW -----

1 John 5:11-15 says: And this is the record, that GOD hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of GOD; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of GOD. And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of Him.

Dear Friend, please don't just believe it, make sure you receive this GIFT!
